Lai grabs 2012 first win

Lai Chee Wei literally whitewashed Imtiaz Serwer to win Leg 4 XZ Snooker Tour 2012 in style at Golden 10 Snooker & Pool Club.

Playing in his first Semi Final for 2012, Lai was in good shape as he faced Sam Chong, whom too was playing well in this Leg. But it was Lai who came out winning the match 4-2, to meet Imtiaz, winner of Leg 3, whom defeated Lee Hwa Meng on the final frame in the other Semi.

Whilst Lai was looking for his first win this year, Imtiaz Serwer, looked every bit the hot favourite for his 2nd title of the Tour as the Final cued off. But it was Lai whom stole the limelight and defeated Imtiaz 4-0 to capture his first title in 2012.

Lai Chee Wei takes home the Champion's trophy plus cash prize RM 3,000 while Imtiaz takes home the Runner up trophy and cash prize RM 1,200. Highest break of the Championship goes to Lee Hwa Meng with a break of 108 points, winning him cash prize RM 500 and a Atlantis snooker cue worth RM 1,000 courtesy of Wiraka for his effort.

Leg 5 moves on to One Class Snooker in PJ from 8-14 April.
