Rory extends lead by claiming Leg 3

While everyone are in the midst of World Cup fever, Rory Thor chooses to focus on his game and paid off quite well as he wins Leg 3 of the National Ranking Snooker Championship 2010 at Star Snooker. He beats the talented 16 year old Penang boy Sebastian H'ng by a scoreline of 4-2, walking away with the Champion's trophy and cash prize of RM 2,500.

It was a similar scenario as both Rory and Sebastian were trailing in their Semi Final match against Lai Chee Wei and Michael Tan respectively. Both were trailing 0-2 in their matches and came back to win with the same scoreline of 4-2.

In the Final, Rory displays his playing form as the current leader in the rankings, as he races off to a 3-0 lead, playing Best of 7 frames, needing only one more frame to cross the finish line. Sebastian was not giving up that easily and wins two frames in a row to reduce the gap to trail by one frame, but that was his last winning frame as Rory steps up one gear to win the Frame 6 to claim match and Championship.
