Jason conquers Old Klang Road

(l-r) Jason Cheong, Golden Break representative Jason Ng and Alex Liew
Jason Cheong had to fight all the way back from a near defeat by Alex Liew to win the Leg 3 Golden Break Snooker Tour at the Old Klang Road outlet.

After the Final cued off, Alex Liew, whom won the past 2 legs winner Fong Keng Seng, sped off to a 3-1 lead, requiring 1 more to clinch the title. Jason shifted one gear up and leveled the match at 3-3, forcing a decided for the Champion's trophy. The decider all boiled down to the colours, as Alex potted the Brown and Blue, requiring only the Pink to win frame and match. Lady luck however was not on his side, as after potting the Pink, the cue ball slowly trickled and went in off in the middle pocket.

This foul turned the situation the other way round with Jason requiring only the Pink to win. He went down, aimed and potted the Pink straight into the back of the pocket, breathing a sigh of relief to finally win.

Jason Cheong wins RM 2,000 and the Champion's trophy while Alex Liew took home RM 1,000.

Leg 4 of the Golden Break Snooker Tour moves to the Sri Damansara outlet which will start on 6 August.
