Trailing 2-0 and 3-1 at one point during the match, Imtiaz slowed his pace down and played ball by ball, reeling in one frame at a time to level the match at 3-3. Mohd Reza had the lead first in the decider but Imtiaz replied with a 40 break to regain the lead. A careless Red attempt by Imtiaz gave Reza the opportunity to pick up some points and eventually potted the Black to level the points, forcing a re-spotted Black.
Mohd Reza won the toss and tried playing a bank shot on the Black but failed to place it safe as Imtiaz pots the Black over the pocket, winning frame and match.
Imtiaz Serwer takes home RM 3,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy whilst Mohd Reza manages only the Runner up's RM 1,200 cash prize and trophy.
