(l-r) Sam Chong and Rory Thor after winning the Final |
With breaks of 111, 64 and 109 to win the Final, it was even sweeter for Rory as he lost to the same pair in the Laos SEA Games 2009, where he partnered Lai Chee Wei and only could settle for Silver last time.
Sam Chong, who has been absent from the international scene about 10 years, had decided to take up the nation's call for the Games and to guide the younger generation using his vast experience of match play.
Rory Thor will be eyeing for his second Gold medal as he will be playing in the Snooker Singles, alongside with Lai Chee Wei.
