Imtiaz Serwer struggled through all 7 frames in the Final, including a re-spotted Black before finally able to win Leg 15 XZ Snooker Tour 2013 at NOS Ball Snooker & Pool Club, Taman Desa.

Trailing 2-0 and 3-1 at one point during the match, Imtiaz slowed his pace down and played ball by ball, reeling in one frame at a time to level the match at 3-3. Mohd Reza had the lead first in the decider but Imtiaz replied with a 40 break to regain the lead. A careless Red attempt by Imtiaz gave Reza the opportunity to pick up some points and eventually potted the Black to level the points, forcing a re-spotted Black.

Mohd Reza won the toss and tried playing a bank shot on the Black but failed to place it safe as Imtiaz pots the Black over the pocket, winning frame and match.

Imtiaz Serwer takes home RM 3,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy whilst Mohd Reza manages only the Runner up's RM 1,200 cash prize and trophy.

Mohd Reza victorious in Kuantan

First it was top seed Rory Thor, then it was a whitewash perfect Final match against Patrick Ooi. Mohd Reza couldn't be more happier with his current matchplay form after winning Leg 14 XZ Snooker Tour 2013 here at BlackBall Club, Kuantan.

Mohd Reza cued off the Semi Final match and sped off to a 4-1 lead against Rory Thor, showing great form in the early part but was soon leveled at 4-4 as Rory got his rhythm back. A scrappy decider and Mohd Reza was through to the Final, waiting between Patrick Ooi or Imtiaz Serwer.

The Final was an even quicker affair as Mohd Reza reeled in frame after frame and sealed the match with a 5-0 score, leaving Patrick clueless on what even happened at all.

Mohd Reza banks in on the RM 4,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy whilst Patrick Ooi manages only RM 2,000 and the Runner up's trophy. 

Highest Break went to Imtiaz Serwer with his 118 points effort in his match against Muhd Fithri, winning himself RM 1,000 cash prize, the trophy and an Altantis cue worth RM 850 sponsored by WIRAKA.

Resident Pro Moh Keen Hoo were unable to put up a fight as top seed Rory Thor literally steam rolled over him with a scoreline of 5-1. Rory Thor plays Mohd Reza in the Semi Finals while Patrick Ooi plays Imtiaz Serwer in the other match.

Moh Keen Hoo will play his team mate in the upcoming Myanmar SEA Games, top seed Rory Thor in his Quarter Final match, hoping to avenge his loss in the previous encounter at New Champion Snooker, Klang.

Rory Thor brushed aside Patrick Ooi in the Final of Leg 13 XZ Snooker Tour 2013 with a score of 5-1 to lift the Champion's trophy and cash prize of RM 4,000, thanks to the host venue New Champion Snooker in Klang.

Semi Final were both closely fought matches as Rory won the decider against Moh Keen Hoo whilst Patrick claimed his Final pass against Ng Ann Seng.

Patrick took home RM 2,000 cash prize for his Runner up effort with Moh Keen Hoo and Ng Ann Seng collecting RM 800 cash prize. Rory Thor also walked away with the Highest Break prize of RM 500 plus an Altantis snooker cue sponsored by WIRAKA.

Rory's greatest comeback

"He who laughs last, laughs best" most probably will apply best to Rory Thor's victory in Club 2 Snooker & Pool after defeating Imtiaz Serwer 4-3.

The Final cued off with Imtiaz reeling in frame after frame, spurring ahead quickly into a comfortable 3-0 lead and requiring only 1 more frame to seal the match. Rory managed a scrappy Frame 4 to close the gap to 2 frames and continued to do so with a 111 break in Frame 5.

With the lead now narrowed to 1 frame, Imtiaz tried to take Frame 6 and match but was careless in his shots, allowing Rory to win the frame on the Black.

Imtiaz dominated in the early part of Frame 7 but soon see his grip loosen as Rory clawed back ball by ball and eventually won the match on the Brown, making one of the greatest comeback in the Championship.

Patrick Ooi finally lands his first victory in 2013 as he beats Rory Thor 4-1 to lift the Champion's trophy for Leg 11 XZ Snooker Tour 2013 at Red Ball Snooker, Seri Kembangan.

Patrick was in unstoppable form after steam rolling no 2 seed Imtiaz Serwer 4-0 with breaks of 64, 75 and 104, advancing through to the Final. Rory, in the other match, finally puts a stop to Chooi Yew Wah giant killing spree with a 4-1 scoreline, going through to play Patrick.

Patrick continues his excellent form as he sprints to a 2-0 lead after cueing off but Rory managed to reduce the gap to 2-1 after claiming Frame 3. That was all he could do as Patrick sealed off the next 2 frames and match, winning it 4-1.

Patrick Ooi takes home RM 3,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy whilst Rory collects for the second time, the Runner up's trophy and cash prize RM 1,200. Patrick also snatched the Highest Break prize from Rory by outscoring him 1 point with a total of 104 points, earning himself RM 500 cash prize.

Yew Wah through to Semis

Chooi Yew Wah has been consistent for the past few legs and maintains his performance yet again as he advances to the Semi Finals at Red Ball Snooker after brushing aside Mohd Reza 4-1.

Imtiaz Serwer took all 7 frames to deny Rory Thor from a back to back wins on the Tour and conquered at Club 11 Snooker, Cheras.

After a convincing win over Patrick Ooi in the semis, a very much in form Rory had ample time to rest while Imtiaz faced a much difficult opponent in Chooi Yew Wah. Imtiaz finally won it 4-2 and setup yet another Final against Rory.

Imtiaz cued off in the Final and took an early 2-0 lead, but was quickly leveled back to 2-2 including a 5 reds clearance in Frame 6. Frame 5 and 6 was shared amongst them, taking the match into overtime on the decider frame. Eventually, it was Imtiaz whom prevailed, clearing the colour balls and finally winning the Championship.

Imtiaz Serwer takes home RM 3,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy whilst Rory Thor manages only the Runner up's trophy and RM 1,200 cash prize. Patrick Ooi and Chooi Yew Wah both received RM 600 cash prize and trophy.

Rory Thor adds another trophy to his mantelpiece as he wins for the 5th on the XZ Snooker Tour 2013 here at TJ Snooker, Balakong. He overpowers first time finalist Chooi Yew Wah 4-1, thus extending his lead on top of the ranking list.

No 2 seed Imtiaz Serwer failed this time around, not being able to perform to par as per the previous few outings. In form Chooi Yew Wah took the opportunity and seized the victory of 4-2 to advance into the Final.

Rory Thor takes home yet again RM 3,000 Champion's cash prize whilst Chooi Yew Wah collects his first Runner up trophy and cash prize of RM 1,200. Highest Break goes to Imtiaz Serwer for his 101 points effort.

After a long Raya break, Rory was still very much in top form and displayed flawless snooker play, leaving Imtiaz trying to climb back into the match. A break of 89 in Frame 3 by Rory totally demolished Imtiaz's match play and went on to lose the Final.

Jung Lin lifts Champion's trophy

Chinese Taipei's Chang Jung Lin finally wins the 5th Golden Break 9 Ball Invitational Championship 2013 after beating Indonesia's Muhd Zulfikri 15-10 in a nail biting Final yesterday night.

It was his 2nd attempt at the title after losing out early in last year's Championship, which his fellow countryman Ko Ping Chung became the eventual winner. Chang played well throughout the tournament, not encountering much obstacle in advancing through the rounds. The only close fought match was against his own mate Chang Yu Lung, whom took him all the way to the final rack.

Chang Jung Lin takes home cash prize USD 8,000 and the beautiful Champion's trophy whilst Muhd Zulfikri only manages the Runner up's trophy and cash prize of USD 4,000.

Patrick Ooi proves that he is still the Grandmaster as he defeats Kovic Chong in a nail biting Final which ended at 3am, winning the Club 9 "Grandmaster of Pool" by 11-9.

XZ Snooker Tour 2013 continues through to the second half of the year with Top Two Snooker, Kuchai Lama hosting Leg 6 on 9-15 July. Below is the Draw for the event.

Alan Ng wins at Hall of Champions

Although he may not have won any of the 13 legs held, Alan Ng chose to put up his best performance as he beats Kok Jken Yung 11-9 to win the Golden Break 10 Ball Tour 2012/13 Grand Final, ending the season on a high note for himself and Amazon Pool Club.

It was not easy for Alan as the much younger Jken Yung was in the pilot seat throughout the whole Final, leading all the way up to 9-6, requiring only 2 more racks to lift the trophy. Maybe the pressure was too much to handle for Jken Yung as Alan slowly took advantage of his opponent's careless mistake, winning one rack at a time and finally cleared up Rack 20 to seal the match and victory.

Alan Ng takes home cash prize of RM 8,000, the Champion's trophy and the Challenge trophy as well to be displayed until next year. A very much despaired Kok Jken Yung only manages RM 4,000 cash prize and the Runner up's trophy to bring back to Sabah.

Golden Break's Management thanks everyone for the support throughout the year and promises next season will be even more exciting.

Rory conquers the Nationals

Favourite for the title from the very beginning, Rory Thor didn't disappoint his fans as he steamrolled Iniesta Lim 6-0 to win the 25th National Snooker Championship 2013 at Good 9 Snooker Center.

Soon to represent Malaysia in the upcoming 4th Asian Indoor Games at Incheon, South Korea, Rory was in control from the first frame as the much inexperienced Iniesta Lim played cluelessly, losing frame after frame. After the mid interval session, Iniesta managed to play slightly better but was still unable to chase back, finally losing it without scoring a frame.

This match also goes into Malaysia's history as the only one where a player fails to win a frame in the Final.

Rory Thor takes home RM 5,000 cash prize, the Champion's trophy and also the Challenge Trophy sponsored by Jaring Metal Industries S/B. Iniesta Lim settles for the Runner up's trophy and RM 2,000 cash prize. Rory also claims the Highest Break cash prize of RM 800 with 100 points in his Quarter Final match.

Rory Thor storms into the Final after whitewashing former national champion Elvin Lean to setup a match with Iniesta Lim at the 25th National Snooker Championship 2013 in Good 9 Snooker Center.

Having played well with not much challenge throughout the Championship, Rory remains the hot favourite for the title which has lapsed two years.

Snooker legend Sam Chong however was stopped in the semis by upcoming player Iniesta Lim, whom will be playing in his first National Final.

Current highest break of the Championship is still held by Rory Thor with his break of 100 points in his Quarter Final match against Sheldon Senangang.

Final plays tomorrow at 3pm, a Best of 11 frames match.

Iniesta amongst former champions

Iniesta Lim in action

Iniesta Lim will be amongst former national champions as he plays his semi final match tomorrow against Malaysia snooker legend Sam Chong in the 25th National Snooker Championship at Good 9 Snooker Center, Sri Petaling.

Incheon bound Rory Thor also produced the current highest break of the Championship, 100 points in his quarter final match victory against Sheldon Senangang which also included 91 and 67 breaks.

Semi Finals plays tomorrow at 3pm and 8pm respectively, a Best of 9 frames match. Final will be competed on 16 June, Sunday at 3pm with Best of 11 frames format.
