The Final cued off with Imtiaz reeling in frame after frame, spurring ahead quickly into a comfortable 3-0 lead and requiring only 1 more frame to seal the match. Rory managed a scrappy Frame 4 to close the gap to 2 frames and continued to do so with a 111 break in Frame 5.
With the lead now narrowed to 1 frame, Imtiaz tried to take Frame 6 and match but was careless in his shots, allowing Rory to win the frame on the Black.
Imtiaz dominated in the early part of Frame 7 but soon see his grip loosen as Rory clawed back ball by ball and eventually won the match on the Brown, making one of the greatest comeback in the Championship.

Rory Thor takes home RM 3,000 cash prize and a well deserved Champion's trophy. Imtiaz Serwer manages only the RM 1,200 cash prize and the Runner up's trophy. Mohd Reza and Patrick Ooi each received RM 600 cash prize and trophy for their Semi Finals effort.
Rory Thor also took home the Highest Break prize with a 131 points break, earning himself cash prize of RM 500 plus a Altantis snooker cue, sponsored by WIRAKA.
