Competing actively in the pool scene for so long, Rasid Samy has yet to perform to par so far although being labeled as a natural pool player. His game has always been with a touch of Philippine flair, fancy and exciting but still lack the element to capture victory in the tournament scene. He has also qualified for numerous overseas tournament previously but with no avail to produce decent results.

Tonight however is different as he puts up a display of superb pool play and deadly accuracy to emerge victorious in Leg 1 of National Ranking Pool Championship 2010 at Century Club. He beats Benjamin Lee with a convincing scoreline of 10-4 to walk away with RM 2,500 and the Champion's trophy
The Final first few racks were shared between them, each not willing to budge for the other to get a chance at the table. But Benjamin could only manage to level him at 4-4 and it was history from then as Rasid sped off to reel off 6 racks in a row to claim match and Championship.
