Magic Number 2 as Rasid wins again

(l-r) Mohd Sepawi and Rasid Samy

Rasid Samy must be loving the number 2 as he wins again at Leg 2 of National Ranking Pool Championship 2010 at Club 9 Sunway. He beats Mohd Sepawi in an all East Malaysian affair with a scoreline of 10-5, walking away yet again with the Champion's trophy and cash prize of RM 2,500 while Mohd Sepawi wins himself the Runner-up's trophy and cash prize RM 1,000.

Semi final was a rematch of Leg 1 Final and Rasid Samy still emerges as the better player as he wins this encounter with a scoreline of 10-6. In the other Semi Final, Mohd Sepawi trailing 7-8 against Elvin Lean, 2008 National Pool Champion, suddenly had a twist of fate where he needed most and wins the remaining 3 racks to advance.

Both players were playing well with rolls and spins but Sepawi made one too many mistakes which gave Rasid chances to win racks easily. Sepawi managed to claim a few racks back but that was only it as Rasid wrapped up the Final convincingly with a 10-5 scoreline.

Below are the results for the Semi Finals and Final.

Semi Finals Results
Mohd Sepawi 10 vs 8 Elvin Lean
Benjamin Lee 6 vs 10 Rasid Samy
