MYMC2014 : Stage 2 Group Draw

The Qualifiers for the MIKE YOW Memorial Cup 2014 has completed with 32 players going through to Stage 2 which will begin on 1 April, Tuesday at 2pm.

Stage 2 Group Stage will be played over Best of 7 frames, Double Elimination format as 32 players will be trying to book a spot in the Last 32 Round.

Players will be required to adhere the dress code for Stage 2:- Vest, Long Sleeve, Pants and Leather Shoes.

MYMC2014: Draw for Stage 1 Qualfiers

The action starts this Saturday as the Open Qualifiers for the Mike Yow Memorial Cup 2014 cues off in 4 venues. A total of 74 players have registered for the Qualifiers with 16 players going through to Stage 2 Group Stage on Day 1. Another 16 players will take up the remainder spots in Stage 2 on Sunday.

Matches are played Best of 5 frames with all matches played on a Roll In Roll Out basis. For those who are unable to qualify on Day 1 can register to re-try again on Day 2 with a lower entry fee of RM 40.

Mohd Reza triumphs at Grand Pudu

Mohd Reza claims his first victory of the year in front of an overcrowded Final match at Grand Pudu Snooker & Pool. He beats Imtiaz Serwer 5-3 to walk away with RM 4,000 cash prize and the Champion's trophy.

Mohd Reza whitewashed the giant killer Zack Loh 4-0 in the Semi Final whilst top seed Rory Thor succumbed to Imtiaz Serwer with a scoreline of 1-4.

The Final was a much intense affair as Mohd Reza sped off to a 3-1 lead with Imtiaz trying to play catch up. Imtiaz fought hard and managed to level the match at 3-3. Frame 7 went down to Pink colour as Imtiaz made a careless mistake and gave Reza a chance to lead again at 4-3. Frame 8 was a rather comical affair with lady luck on Reza's side. Imtiaz went in off twice after potting a ball, literally handing the win to Reza as he pots with 2 reds remaining.

Patrick crashes out

No 2 seed Patrick Ooi crashes out in the Quarter Finals, losing to Zack Loh 1-4 at Grand Pudu Snooker & Pool. Zack Loh plays Mohd Reza tomorrow in the Semi Finals, which will start at 6pm. The Final will follow next at 9pm.
