Ceon KC Yin beats Ku Jia Loong to capture the Golden Break 10 Ball Tournament January 2012 at Golden Break Snooker & Pool Club, USJ. Ceon walks away with cash prize of RM 1,500 whilst Ku takes home RM 700 for his Runner up effort.

Rory Thor got his early Chinese New Year bonus as he beats Lee Hwa Meng in the Final at Brewball SSTwo Mall to claim Leg 1 of XZ Snooker Tour 2012.

In the Semi Finals, Rory was literally unstoppable as he quickly dismisses his SEA Games doubles partner Sam Chong in 45 minutes with breaks of 53 and 65 to win 4-0. Lee Hwa Meng on the other hand had to struggle against 2 times National Snooker Champion Patrick Ooi but still manage to win with a convincing score of 4-1.

As the Final cued off, Lee immediately sprang into action and took the lead at 2-0. Rory replied with a clearance on the colour balls to narrow the gap to 2-1. Frame 4 was all in Lee's favour as Rory conceded before the reds finished, giving Lee a 3-1 lead and needing only 1 more frame to claim the first title in 2012.

Faced with an uphill task and not giving up easily, Rory changed his game play strategy and totally locked down Lee in Frame 5, scrapping through the frame and won it as well. Frame 6 was a quicker encounter as Rory regained his confidence and made Lee helpless in his cold corner. Frame 6 went to Rory with little effort and all goes down to the final frame.

Both players shaked hands and the final frame was underway. Lee although looked restless, was still determined to come back in the match and pulled out every single trick that he had from his pocket. Rory however immediately denied him and continued with his safety strategy, finally breaking Lee down and won the final frame and match.

Rory walks away with cash prize of RM 3,000 and the Champion's trophy whilst Lee took home RM 1,200.

The Quarter Finals round saw the seniors conquering the competition scene as only young Rory made it through to the Semi Finals amongst the rest at Brewball SSTwo Mall.

SEA Games Doubles partners Rory and Sam Chong both recorded the same scoreline 4-1, beating Ng Ann Seng and Moh Keen Hoo respectively. Both of them will be meeting again in the Semi Final with their last encounter in favour of Rory.

The other two Quarter Finals matches also had the same scoreline as national pool player Patrick Ooi ousted Imtiaz Serwer 4-2 whilst former national player Lee Hwa Meng got the better of Thean Mun Kit.

Semi Finals will start tomorrow at 7pm followed by the Final at 10pm.

Day 5 sees top seeds players Lai Chee Wei and Mohd Reza crashing out in their first round match, losing to Imtiaz Serwer and Lee Hwa Meng respectively at Brewball SSTwo Mall. Lai was totally outplayed by Imtiaz losing a straight 4-0 whilst Reza struggled to the final frame before finally giving up to a better Hwa Meng. No 1 Rory Thor goes through with less hassle, beating KL Tan 4-1.

Quarter Finals will be played later followed by the Semi Finals and Final on Friday evening.
